Valley Word Ministries has a Worldwide Vision for ministry. Recognizing the command of the Lord to take the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the Earth, we are involved in works of varying degrees around the globe. Below are a few of the works in which we are actively involved.
Every year our Children's Ministry sponsors a Christmas project that supports two orphanages in Kenya. This year the Children made Christmas stockings. They asked that the members of Valley Word collect all of their change in the stockings to bring in as an offering to be sent directly to the orphanages. [TOP]
Valley Word has been partnered with John Jacobs Ministries for several years, providing financial support to a number of projects in Mexico. We have also partnered with Teen Mania's ministry in Mexico through participation in short-term missions. [TOP]
Valley Word Ministries is involved in Missions in dangerous and politically sensitive areas of South Asia, participating in Church Planting, Field Evangelism, support of Orphanages and Bible Colleges, and the provision of Christian Literature. Information on these works is available on a per-request basis only to ensure the safety of our missionaries in hostile areas.
Summer 2008 Update From Our Ministry Partners (name withheld for security reasons) in South Asia...:
Prayer requests...
...Pray for the 299 newly trained and commissioned indigenous missionaries on March 29th that are now setting up camp in various parts of South Asia with ministry possibilities. Pray for their provision and protection.
...Also pray for the 17 newly ordained Pastors and their church plants. They are planting churches in areas that has never been evangelized before.
...Prayers for our new outreach using traveling acting teams portraying the "Life of Jesus". Village Theatrics is a folk art but never put in a Christian context. Last week alone we were able to share Christ in a native village setting to over 6000 Hindus and Muslims just in one location. The response was tremendous at the alter-call. Pray for the protection and effectiveness of this ministry. It has never been tried before, we are encouraged by the results.
Praise Report...
I (VWC's missionary) personally witnessed at one of our churches on the outskirts of New Delhi, 125 Baptisms of former Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists. Another Sunday after regular morning church services, a church had 140 Baptisms. Pray that revival will continue to spread in this area. Pray for the protection of Pastors of these churches. Their names are Pastor Gulshan Singh and Pastor Jasbeer Singh. Pastor Gulshan Singh's family was attacked by anti-Christian group, but escaped with no injuries. These pastor's come from Sikh backgrounds... they are the one's that wear turbans.[TOP]

Projects Completed in Uganda:

February Mission Trip: The Medical and the Construction Teams traveled to Uganda in to: 1. Set up donated medical equipment at Life Link Medical Centre and train medical staff there and 2. Assist in building the Chicken-Fishpond Project.

Purchase of House adjacent to King Solomon's Academy to provide additional classrooms and REAL Kitchen facilities (to replace cooking on the ground over a fire.)

Financial assistance in relocating Life Link Medical Centre after severe nationwide monsoon rains/flooding caused the original building to be condemned due to the storm damage.
